Down to Business: Hardware upgrades

As part of our upcoming release of eScoreBoard 4, we are also undergoing a significant hardware upgrade.  We'll refrain from boring you with pages of technical jargon, but we do want to share with you some of the highlights of these upgrades.

Our web server will receive the following upgrades:
  • Processor - Upgrade from a single-core to a quad core processor
  • Memory - Upgrade from 1GB to 4GB RAM
  • Framework - Upgrade from .NET 2.0 to .NET 3.5
Our database server will receive the follow upgrades:
  • OS - Upgrade to a 64-bit platform
  • Processor - Upgrade from a single-core to a quad-core processor
  • Memory - Upgrade from 2GB to 12GB RAM
  • Software - Upgrade from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008
The bottom line....the performance you see in eScoreBoard 4.0 will be much improved.  Faster loading pages, faster loading reports and an overall better experience.

We'll be back to product features on Thursday with our next post.

Until then, remember that with activity management, you are in control,
- The eScoreBoard Team
